The most obvious problem here is that PVC piping needs to be buried. Some of the piping in the video shown will remain above ground after the system is finished. Over time the PVC piping will discolor from the sunlight and become brittle. Eventually it will fail.

I don't think you understand the word "professional." Any yahoo can call themselves a professional. If a company has no warranty, the chance of a part breaking is very likely and the chance of them not returning your phone calls is very likely as well. Professional sprinkler companies should give you a warranty up to 5 years. If your sprinkler system is breaking within the 5 year period, it is your own fault you didn't do your research.

I wouldn't ever ever hire a "professional" & never use that newer thin pipe as if more water flow is important. I have had seven (7) leaking repairs on this new home in sham real estate SoCal. The professionals were neglectful with a few leaks such as the pipe being loosely connected. But for sure the thin pipe is a scam that only looks good. If the mortgage payments didn't kill the previous owners all the irrational maintenance would have. USA went to hell in year 2000.

Actually, it probably would take 1 inexperienced person 2 weeks...so hire a professional! This video had so many no-nos in it. Even the end when the guy placed a rock on the piping...hello, pvc vibrates when it runs...rocks can wear holes in piping. Don't use the blue glue shown. Also...don't tie into hose bib faucet...you won't be able to run many heads. Properly tie into main house water line & use proper backflow. Again..hire a professional!
