You can edge by using an edging shovel or even a spade..lay out your bed and cut a 4" deep edge right into the ground. When you mulch or put your stone in..don't feel the edge up the whole way. I prefer to edge right into the ground or a cut stone border

It took her 47 seconds to say not to mix bricks and rocks. Thanks again Expert Village!

I don't know if you had bought an edger yet but, the WorxGT is a great invesment! It is cordless (eletric battery) the double helix line is real strong and if you use it against concrete and it still rips, no worri it gives out line automatically to the perfect lenght, and you get the line for free for life!!! And it is a weeder and edger all in one.

Thanks for the advice, but it would it not look better and more uniform and regular if the top edge was even?

a rabbit or guinea pig. don't cost much at the pet store and they're fun. just fence them in somehow and let them out in the days. they keep it a nice length

if the concrete is leel go out and invest in an eger. you could pick one up at the home depot or sears.

im afraid it might break if it hit the concrete. im tryin to cut the edge of the lawn that is surrounded by concrete. i dont want to break the thing if it hit the concrete

yes you could go to your local Home-Depot and buy yourself a weed wacker. you could even use the weed wacker to edge your lawn if you dont already have an edger.

my lawn has concrete surrounding it but i can't cut it with the mower because its too big to fit in there i have to cut it myself with scissors. that takes too much time and my hand would ache afterward. is there any kind of tool that can help me?

Put the edging in the ground so that it's flush with the grass, and you won't have to worry about trimming weeds.
